Who will shine in the Nations League?
The Nations League is a tournament devised by UEFA to stop the monotony of international friendlies that tended to blight the soccer season. So far it seems to have been a success, and with the Nations League coming to a close in the next few weeks it is time to look at the players to watch.
Jota had a slow start to the season. His team, Wolves, adapted to the Premier League superbly, but he struggled at first. Once he scored his first goal though, everything changed for him. His confidence skyrocketed and he really started to show his skills. He was Wolves’ most important player in the second half of the season and the reason they made both the FA Cup semifinal and earned a place in the Europa League. His tenacity and desire ensured that they finished the season strongly. If he gets game time for Portugal then expect him to make everyone sit up and take notice.
Matthijs de Ligt
With a host of big name clubs looking at him this summer, de Ligt is a player to watch. Anyone who is interested in New Jersey Sports Betting will know that if de Ligt is playing then a clean sheet for the Netherlands is a huge possibility. Expect de Ligt to be lighting up one of the big leagues in Europe next season, but first he is going to impress in the Nations League with his classy play and dedication to defending.
